Victron MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70-50 — 5kVA Inverter/Charger 48V
$1349.99
The Victron MultiPlus-II 48/5000/70-50 is the cornerstone of premium off-grid and hybrid battery systems worldwide — a 5kVA (5000VA / 4000W continuous) inverter and 70A battery charger combined with an integrated 50A AC transfer switch, all in a single unit. The MultiPlus-II is the upgraded successor to the legendary MultiPlus, adding the GX data bus for direct connection to a Cerbo GX or CCGX monitoring system without a VE.Bus-MK3 adapter. PowerAssist® technology: when grid/generator supply is available but limited (e.g., weak generator, undersized extension cord, shared grid connection), the MultiPlus-II seamlessly supplements grid power with battery power to prevent overload tripping — enabling a 15A grid circuit to deliver 40A+ to loads. PowerControl limits battery charger current to match available grid/generator capacity. Both functions are configurable remotely via VRM Portal. True double-conversion UPS functionality with <20ms transfer to battery/inverter on grid outage. Peak power 9000W (handles motor start surges). Pure sine wave output: THD <3% at resistive load. Efficiency: 96% (inverter peak), ≥98% (battery charge). Battery voltage: 48V, operating range 38–66V. Supports AGM, GEL, flooded, and lithium (LiFePO4, Li-NMC) batteries with built-in BMS communication profiles for BYD, Pylontech, LG, and others via VE.Bus BMS or LYNX BMS. VE.Bus parallel/3-phase stacking: up to 6 units for 30kW three-phase systems.
